That’s how business owners and siblings Marcus and Anneli began the speech at the grand opening of new ICA Maxi Norrköping. This sentiment strongly resonated with us at Wica, as all the refrigerated cabinets in the store are produced in a small town in the deep forests of Småland, Vislanda.

Despite several unique solutions, all refrigeration and freezer displays for the store have been locally produced in Sweden. The refrigerated cabinets from Wica contribute to the very latest concept of ICA Maxi, refined and meticulously detailed, while still allowing this particular store to showcase its unique character.

Significant emphasis has been placed on the stores section for fruits and vegetables. This is evident in the layout, where the fruits and vegetables section seamlessly connects the store's entrance with the deli, fresh produce, and frozen grocery sections.

The fruits and vegetables section features various models from Wica, each presenting the products in different ways. Among them, Kivik 3P MAX stands out with its mirror-overhang, capturing the customers attention and showcasing fruits from various angles. In addition to the vertical cabinet Osaka 3 LX, the store has utilized Velden LX to cleverly present berries and exotic fruits in an attractive manner, encouraging purchases in a typically challenging product category.

Revolution 'LX'

'LX' can be found on several of Wica Cold's models, indicating the very latest version of refrigerated and freezer cabinets that place the products in better focus than ever before. LX displays feature a minimalist design, increased glass displays, and optimal product visibility.

For the vertical cabinet Osaka 3 LX and the low Osaka 3 LXQ, this means extra-large doors with a transparent frame and handles, soft hydraulic closure, and very good light distribution. The design of the LX model allows for consistent shelf depth, even on low displays, and deeper shelves than previous models, despite reducing the footprint. The result is stores that highlight products while requiring less floor space for the same volume as before.
